The advertising medium with the widest reach in the Balearics
Everyone who arrives on the islands by plane passes through one of these three airports. There's no alternative route and no way around it: the terminal is the funnel through which the whole of Balearic tourism flows in and out. In 2025 all three airports broke all-time records, together surpassing 47 million passengers.
What makes that traffic valuable isn't just its size, but the moment it happens. These are travellers with time to wait, phone in hand, facing immediate purchase decisions: where to eat, what to rent, what to visit, what to bring back home. Many land with nothing booked beyond their accommodation. Airport advertising works right in that window, before the plan is decided, in a closed, well-kept environment where no other advertiser competes for the same attention.
It's also the only way to reach foreign visitors before they set foot in the destination, while they still don't know the local offer. And it works both ways: the departures area reaches those who already know the islands and are deciding what to take home, as well as residents who fly recurrently throughout the year.
Each island has its own audience, calendar and investment logic. Choose the airport that interests you:
Mallorca (PMI)
33.8 million passengers. Spain's third busiest airport and the tenth busiest in the European Union. No other advertising medium on the islands comes close to that volume of impressions. Germany and the UK are its dominant markets.
Ibiza (IBZ)
9.1 million passengers, an all-time record. Almost all of it concentrated between May and October: six months that account for the whole year's traffic. A young, international audience with high spending at the destination. The UK and Italy lead its source markets.
Menorca (MAH)
4.2 million passengers, also an all-time high. A single terminal and a predictable route: the campaign reaches almost every passenger. It's the most affordable entry point into a Balearic airport. The UK and France lead its international traffic.
